Effective date: May 31, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Oberton Wallet (the "App", "Oberton Wallet", or the "Service") provided by ByteHub, LLC ("ByteHub", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Oberton Wallet is a non-custodial crypto wallet. You are solely responsible for your seed phrase, private keys, passcode, backup password, transactions, network fees, tax obligations, and compliance with applicable law. We cannot recover lost seed phrases or private keys and cannot reverse blockchain transactions.
You may use the App only if you are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, have legal capacity to agree to these Terms, and are not prohibited from using the App by applicable law. You may not use the App if you are subject to sanctions, located in a jurisdiction where use is unlawful, or using the App for illegal activity.
Oberton Wallet does not hold, custody, control, or manage crypto assets on your behalf. The App helps you create, store, view, sign, and broadcast blockchain transactions from your device. You control your assets through your seed phrase and private keys.
Oberton Wallet is software. We are not a bank, broker, dealer, exchange, custodian, investment adviser, tax adviser, legal adviser, or fiduciary. Information shown in the App, including prices, balances, staking information, fees, token metadata, network information, and third-party links, is provided for convenience and may be delayed, inaccurate, incomplete, or unavailable. You are responsible for your own decisions and should obtain independent advice when appropriate.
The App may support multiple blockchain networks and related asset or token standards, depending on platform, app version, region, network status, and third-party availability. Supported networks, assets, features, endpoints, and providers may change, be limited, be removed, or stop working without notice.
Support for a network or token does not mean that we endorse it, guarantee liquidity, guarantee value, verify issuer legitimacy, or guarantee that the asset is safe.
You understand and accept the risks of crypto assets and blockchain systems, including:
The App may provide access to staking, WalletConnect, blockchain explorers, RPC nodes, price services, token metadata services, and other third-party services. These services are provided by third parties or decentralized protocols, not by Oberton Wallet, unless clearly stated otherwise.
Third-party information may depend on providers such as blockchain networks, validators, smart contracts, RPC nodes, indexers, explorers, price services, and token metadata services. Displayed information may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable. Actual transaction results may differ due to network fees, provider fees, price movement, token decimals, contract behavior, confirmation time, failed transactions, or user settings.
We do not guarantee that any stake, WalletConnect request, blockchain transaction, or third-party service will be available, successful, secure, profitable, reversible, or error-free. You must review transaction details before confirming them.
The App may be provided at no charge, but blockchain networks and third-party services may charge fees. Fees may include network gas fees, validator fees, staking-related network or protocol fees, cloud provider fees, and other third-party charges. Fees may change quickly and may be non-refundable even if a transaction fails.
If we introduce an Oberton Wallet service fee, we will make the fee reasonably clear before you use the paid feature, where required by law.
If you enable cloud backup, the App may encrypt selected wallet and contact data with a password you choose and store the encrypted file in your iCloud or Google Drive account. You are responsible for selecting a strong password, securing your cloud account, and keeping your backup password. We do not receive your backup password and cannot decrypt your backup if you lose it.
We work to improve the security and reliability of the App, but no wallet, library, smart contract, blockchain, cloud provider, device, or network can be guaranteed to be secure. Unless we publish a specific current third-party audit report for a specific version or component, you should not assume that Oberton Wallet has a current independent security audit. Audits of third-party protocols or libraries are not audits of the App and do not guarantee safety.
You are responsible for securing your device, updating the App, avoiding phishing, verifying addresses and contracts, and keeping backups offline where appropriate.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. We do not promise that the App will always support a particular operating system, blockchain, token, endpoint, provider, feature, or old version. You may need to update the App to continue using some features.
You agree that you will:
The App, website, logos, names, designs, code, text, and other materials are owned by ByteHub, LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the App except where permitted by law or by applicable open-source licenses.
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is processed in connection with the App. By using the App, you acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
Third-party services, SDKs, blockchains, protocols, stores, cloud providers, RPC nodes, explorers, price services, token metadata services, and WalletConnect-compatible apps may have their own terms and privacy policies. You are responsible for reviewing them. We are not responsible for third-party content, security, availability, pricing, fees, acts, omissions, or losses.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App and Service are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.
We do not warrant that the App will be secure, uninterrupted, accurate, complete, compatible with every device, free of defects, free of malware, or suitable for your particular purpose. We do not warrant that any blockchain transaction, stake, cloud backup, notification, WalletConnect request, or third-party service will succeed or produce a particular result.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ByteHub, LLC and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or similar damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost goodwill, business interruption, loss of crypto assets, loss of access, failed transactions, wrong addresses, compromised devices, lost seed phrases, lost private keys, lost backup passwords, third-party failures, smart-contract bugs, network failures, or regulatory actions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, if any liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability for all claims related to the App or Service will be limited to the amount actually received by ByteHub, LLC for the specific paid App feature giving rise to the claim during the 12 months before the claim. Network fees, validator fees, gas, protocol fees, cloud provider fees, app-store fees, taxes, platform commissions, and other third-party fees are not amounts received by us.
If we did not receive any amount for the specific App feature, the App or feature was provided to you free of charge, and our monetary liability is excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law. If applicable law does not allow monetary liability for free services to be excluded, our monetary liability is limited to the minimum amount permitted by that law.
You agree that any claim related to the App or Service must be brought within one year after the event giving rise to the claim, unless a longer period is required by applicable law.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions and limitations apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless ByteHub, LLC and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and licensors from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of the App, your transactions, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, your infringement of rights of others, or your misuse of third-party services.
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend, limit, or discontinue the Service or your access to Service features if we believe you violated these Terms, if required by law, if a provider requires it, or if continued operation creates risk. Because Oberton Wallet is non-custodial, deleting or disabling the App does not delete public blockchain assets or transactions. You remain responsible for maintaining access to your seed phrase or backups.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
If you have questions about these Terms, contact us at support@oberton.app.
